Definitions
- People signups
- Email subscribers who confirmed via the double opt-in link, counted on the day they confirmed (ET). Includes people who later unsubscribed.
- Agent signups
- Webhook / private-feed subscriptions (POST /api/subscribe with webhook_url, or the MCP subscribe tool), counted on the day created (ET).
- Site visitors
- Unique browsers that loaded at least one page that day (JavaScript on). Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control and known bots are not counted.
- Agent clients
- Unique clients that called the agent API (/api/search, /api/offers/<id>, /api/early/<token>) or the MCP server (/mcp) that day. Static files (/data/*.json, /llms.txt, /skill.md, feeds) are not counted. “API clients” and “MCP clients” are the same count per surface; a client using both counts once in “Agent clients”.
- How “unique” works
- Distinct SHA-256 of (daily random salt + IP address + User-Agent). The salt is deleted after the day, raw IP addresses are never stored, no cookies. Two people behind one IP with the same browser count once; one person on two devices, or whose IP address changes during the day (mobile networks, VPNs, private relays), counts more than once.
- Excluded
- The site's own automated tests and the operator's test signups are excluded.
- History
- Signups are backfilled from launch day (Oct 17, 2026) from subscription records. Active users have no history before Oct 21, 2026: the series starts that day.
